Don’t try telling Mr. Alex Neo that money doesn’t grow on trees! The tree lover went out on a limb and got six rare trees and other exotic plants from Australia for more than $100,000. That was in 2004 when Bottle Tree Pte Ltd was established.
What led to the establishment of Bottle Tree Pte Ltd was 3 men’s vision to create a concept village where there will be sports, recreational facilities, conference rooms, eateries, not forgetting nature. Mr. Alex Neo and Mr. Colin Chia were driven by how society has been constantly trying to climb the corporate ladder that very often, it forgets that the individual’s existence needs people around them to make it more meaningful. Bottle Tree Pte Ltd was established soon after the completion of Bottle Tree Village. Following the success for Bottle Tree Village, Mr. Alex Neo, Mr. Colin Chia, Mr K.H Neo and Mdm Seah shared with Mr. Robin Yan on their vision and that led to the establishment of Bottle Tree Ptd Ltd. As the saying goes, “No Man is an Island.”, Bottle Tree Pte Ltd just wants to bring the basics back to the individual, the family and corporations. There are so many trees in the world, but why specifically Bottle Tree? The Bottle Tree is unique simply because of its shape. It is huge and it takes about four adults, with outstretched hands, to encircle the trunk.
Bottle Tree Pte Ltd wants to play a part in helping to conserve nature in Singapore and has since adopted a rustic environment. Apart from Bottle Trees, Grass trees, giant ferns and palms, also imported from Australia can be seen around the Bottle Tree Village (宝瓶村) and Bottle Tree Park (宝瓶庄). In Bottle Tree Park, you will also get to see more than 30 types of fruit trees around the park.
